Exhibition Design proposal, pitched 2024
This proposal pitched an update to Aberdeen Maritime Museum's Fishing, Whaling, and Trawling displays to highlight the stories of real Aberdonians and their relationship with the North Sea in a way that is both playful and poignant.
My research process involved a careful review of feedback from AAM staff, documentation and analysis of current displays and exhibition text, a survey of national and regional maritime museums surrounding the North Sea, and research into the three themes, support by the AAM collection database and additional archival materials.
My pitch included a thematic plan, map of visitor flow, learning outcomes and key stories with associated collection objects, moodboards, plans for interactive elements, concept sketches and mockups.
