Francis Dick's Walking Thru My Fires

Walking Thru My Fires showcased the work one of the most prolific living Indigenous artists from Canada's west coast, Francis Dick (Kwakwaka'wakw). The exhibition included nearly 100 pieces selected by Dick and co-curator, Lorilee Wastasecoot, exploring urban Indigeneity, reconciliation, and the healing power of art through her prints, paintings, carvings, and music. It also featured a functional artist studio and an interactive installation commemorating the artist's personal experience as an Indian Residential School Survivor. 
I worked in close consultation with Francis to design the working studio and as project manager for the interactive installation, I Was Five..., ensuring that Francis Dick's vision was brought to life with sensitivity and care.
